Big Change Ahead for Bronny James and the LA Lakers!
There’s been a big update about Bronny James and his future with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Bronny, 21, is the son of NBA superstar LeBron James, who’s known as one of the greatest players ever. Over his amazing career, LeBron has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Lakers. He’s won four NBA Championships and three Olympic gold medals, among many other awards.
Now, Bronny is trying to make a name for himself in the NBA, but this season he’s had a hard time securing a regular spot in Lakers coach JJ Redick’s lineup. Because of that, he’s been playing with the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League.
But things have changed! Bronny was just called back to the Lakers after Luka Doncic got injured. Doncic only played 20 minutes in the Lakers’ tough 103-88 loss to the Clippers before hurting his left leg. The injury happened after he collided with Clippers veteran Bogdan Bogdanovic, who hit Doncic’s calf.
Luka had to leave the game early, finishing with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a three-pointer. Following his injury, it was reported that Bronny is now back with the Lakers.
Coach JJ Redick said he saw Luka limping near the end of the first half, and at halftime, Luka told him he couldn’t play anymore. Redick also praised the team’s effort, saying most players showed great competitive spirit, with LeBron leading the way. He added that the team defended well and made it tough for the star players on the Clippers.
