Man City star has officially asked to leave and is now the number one target for a top Premier League club

Manchester City looks ready for more changes, as reports say one of their players has asked to leave the club.

After Pep Guardiola’s decade-long successful run and his recent exit, City is going through a big summer shift. Bernardo Silva and John Stones have already moved on to Real Madrid and Inter Milan after their contracts ended. James Trafford has also been sold again, joining Leeds United for £40 million, making him the most expensive British goalkeeper ever.

While there’s still talk about Rodri possibly leaving for Real Madrid, the next player definitely leaving seems to be winger Savinho. Fabrizio Romano shares that Savinho told City he wants to move on. The Brazilian joined from Troyes in 2024 for £30.8 million and scored seven goals in 84 games but had trouble finding consistent playtime. He now wants more chances to grow and play regularly.

Tottenham looks to be leading the race to sign Savinho, with talks of a £60 million deal. Spurs have already spent £237 million on players like Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, and they’re eager to add Savinho to their squad. They even tried to sign him last summer for a bit more.

Savinho is currently with City’s squad on their pre-season tour to Hong Kong and South Korea, but he might leave early to finalize his transfer.

More players are expected to leave City this summer, but the club has also held onto some key stars. Phil Foden, a lifelong City fan and academy product, signed a new four-year deal that could keep him at the club until 2030. He’s excited to work with the new manager, Enzo Maresca.

Defender Josko Gvardiol also stayed, signing a five-year contract despite strong interest from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Gvardiol, who missed part of last season due to injury, says he feels at home and has everything he needs at City.

City’s pre-season starts soon with games against Inter in Hong Kong, a K League All Stars team in Seoul, and Atletico Madrid. It’s sure to be an exciting time as the team prepares for the new season!
