Man Utd reach final decision on Marcus Rashford transfer with new plan unveiled

There’s been a lot of talk this summer about what’s next for Marcus Rashford, especially after Barcelona decided not to make his loan move permanent. Rashford has been linked with clubs all over Europe — from Italy and Germany to Turkey and Saudi Arabia — plus two teams in the Premier League.

While Rashford and his team considered the chance he might leave permanently, he’s been training with Michael Carrick in the pre-season back at Manchester United. The 28-year-old has spent the last year and a half away from Old Trafford on loan, first at Aston Villa, then all of last season at Barcelona.

He had a great season in Spain, helping Barcelona win La Liga and earning his first league title. Now, it looks like his future might be settled, as he’s been given the number 14 shirt for the new season. According to Fabrizio Romano, this is a sign that the club trusts him and plans to include him in Carrick’s team.

That said, there’s still a chance Rashford could leave if a top European club comes in with a good offer. For now, though, he’s a valuable player for Carrick, especially with not many attacking options available. Rashford can play on the left or in the center, competing with players like Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Joshua Zirkzee.

On the wings, United also have Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo, and Rashford, plus a young talent in Shea Lacey. Having a striker who scored 14 goals and set up 14 more last season, without needing to spend money to sign him, is a big advantage for Carrick and the team.
