Chelsea fans want one player to ‘leave the club’ after how they played against Johor Darul Ta’zim.

Chelsea wrapped up their pre-season by playing against Malaysian team Johor Darul Ta’zim, in their last away game before the new season starts. Fans are excited to see Xabi Alonso’s first home game as Chelsea’s manager next Saturday when they welcome Real Sociedad.

Supporters can’t wait to watch the team play under Alonso, especially to get a glimpse of the new signings and how he will bring his style to the club. Alonso is busy finalizing his squad, with Chelsea competing with Real Madrid to sign Martin Zubimendi, while a few players are expected to leave this summer.

One player who caught the fans’ attention after the Johor Darul Ta’zim game is Tosin Adarabioyo. Many supporters have criticized his performance, blaming him for giving away the first goal. The goal happened on a counterattack when Marcos Guilherme broke down the left side and set up Arif Aiman for an easy finish.

On social media, fans shared their disappointment with Tosin, with many wanting him to leave the club. They feel he doesn’t fit Alonso’s high-pressing style.

One fan said, “Tosin might be great around the dressing room, but with our system playing high up the pitch, it’s just not his strength.” Another wrote, “I knew it even before the game started—when Tosin is in the lineup, our defense looks weak. Please let him go!” A third added, “I usually don’t like ‘get out’ comments, but Tosin has to go. He’s easily the worst player on the pitch every game.”

During the first half, Tosin stayed involved, fighting hard during a Chelsea corner, trying to show Alonso he deserves his spot. But fans feel no matter how hard he works, he lacks the quality needed. Chelsea came back to 1-1 with a penalty scored by Liam Delap in the 42nd minute, after he earned a spot-kick with some quick moves in the box. The teams went into halftime level.

In the second half, Tosin’s performance didn’t get better in the eyes of the fans. As tensions rose, he was quick to protect his teammates after a tough challenge on Delap, even confronting the referee. Chelsea took the lead again with Delap’s second penalty just after the hour mark, but Johor Darul Ta’zim equalized three minutes later. They even went ahead in the 86th minute, but Chelsea leveled right away when Cristian Glauder accidentally scored an own goal. The match ended 3-3.

The plan was to settle the game with a penalty shootout, but it was canceled as tempers flared on the pitch, ending the pre-season friendly on a fiery note.
