Endrick has ‘two strict conditions’ before he leaves Real Madrid, and Premier League team Man Utd is watching closely.
Real Madrid forward Endrick is reported to be open to leaving the club this summer, but only if two important conditions are met. Meanwhile, a second Premier League team has joined Manchester United in trying to sign him.
Endrick, a Brazilian forward, joined Real Madrid when he turned 18 in July 2024. However, the last two years haven’t gone exactly as planned. In his first season under coach Carlo Ancelotti, he played 37 games in all competitions. But last season, under the new coach Xabi Alonso, he only appeared three times.
After that, Endrick was loaned to French club Lyon, where he made a strong impression by scoring a hat-trick in his league debut during a 5-2 win over Metz. His overall performance was good, scoring eight goals in 21 games, which earned him a spot in Brazil’s World Cup squad as well.
Now back at Real Madrid, the new manager Jose Mourinho has told Endrick he is the third choice striker, behind Kylian Mbappe and the new signing Carlos Espi. Because of this, Endrick has seriously thought about another loan move this season. Reports say Manchester United have been offered a chance to sign him temporarily as they prepare for Champions League football.
Real Madrid wants to keep Endrick long-term since he signed a six-year deal when he arrived in 2024. They’re even willing to pay part of his salary if he goes out on loan. Aston Villa is said to be the other Premier League club interested in the young striker. Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, is known for taking players on loan from top clubs who aren’t getting much game time, like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and currently Alejandro Garnacho.
Both Villa and United meet two important requirements Endrick has set for a loan move. First, he wants to play for a club competing in European football. Villa qualified for the Champions League this season by winning the Europa League and finishing fourth in the Premier League. Second, he wants to be guaranteed a starting spot as a striker, which was his role at Lyon, rather than playing out wide.
Another reason Endrick might be interested in moving to the Premier League is that he has been learning English from Real Madrid teammates Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Antonio Rudiger. In June, he told Men in Blazers, “I learn with Jude, with Trent, with Rudi also. Now I can understand more from Jude and Trent, and chat with both. I like Jude and Trent so much. Jude is a good guy, he talks to me every day in Madrid. When he sees me and I’m not so good, he says, ‘Come here,’ and talks to me every day, and Trent also. So now, when I go back, I can speak with both.”
