Arsenal have received a ‘package deal’ offer from the same club for two of their players, which could trigger some big transfer moves.
The Gunners recently spent over £125 million this summer, including the £75 million signing of Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes on Saturday. They’ve also brought in nearly £40 million by selling players like Leandro Trossard, Jakub Kiwior, and Christian Norgaard.
Arsenal are now looking for new options after Vinicius Junior signed a new six-year deal with Real Madrid, even though he was entering the last year of his old contract. According to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, the Gunners have shortlisted players like Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola as potential signings.
But manager Mikel Arteta might need to move fast on a new attacker if they agree to a ‘package deal’ from Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray. Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli says Galatasaray have made offers for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri and Gabriel Martinelli.
Nwaneri, 19, spent last season on loan at Marseille to get more game time and has impressed in pre-season friendlies, even scoring against Borussia Dortmund. Martinelli, 25, has also been linked with a move away this summer and has come off the bench in some friendlies after playing in the World Cup with Brazil.
Arsenal signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge to compete with Martinelli and replace Trossard, who moved to Besiktas. The club’s interest in Vinicius Junior shows they might be open to letting Martinelli go if the right offer comes.
Italian media reports that Roma are interested in Martinelli, with a potential fee between £34-£38 million, which could beat Arsenal’s record sale of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool for £35 million. Martinelli is with the same agency as Vinicius Junior, Roc Nation.
According to football.london, Arsenal won’t sell Martinelli unless they bring in a new left-sided attacker before the transfer window closes on September 1. That gives the club just under three weeks to finish their squad for the start of the 2026/27 season.
