Big European clubs are keeping an eye on Harry Kane in case his talks with Bayern don’t work out.

Harry Kane is said to be on the radar of a Champions League club, even though he’s still talking about a new contract with Bayern Munich.

Kane is about to start his fourth season in the Bundesliga and is still one of Bayern’s top players. Last season, he scored 36 goals in just 31 league games, helping Bayern keep their title.

The 33-year-old England captain is now in the last year of his contract, and if talks don’t go well, he might move to another team. Several clubs are interested in him, including Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, who are rumored to have discussed a future deal.

But on August 19, the Daily Mail said Barcelona is keeping an eye on Kane. The Spanish club wants a new striker after their star, Robert Lewandowski, left for Chicago Fire this summer.

If Kane signs with Barca, he would be only the fourth English player to join the club, following Gary Lineker, Marcus Rashford, and recent signing Anthony Gordon. Barca is also still interested in Julian Alvarez, even though Atletico Madrid says he’s not for sale right now.

Kane recently joined his Bayern teammates again ahead of their important game against Borussia Dortmund this Sunday, August 22. He talked about his future this week, saying he feels “calm” even though his contract is running out.

He told Kicker: “We said we would have talks after the World Cup and my holiday, so I’m not sure exactly when, but probably this week or next week. Both sides are relaxed, and I’m confident the talks will happen soon.”

Kane also spoke about his shot at winning the Ballon d’Or for the first time, calling it “one of the biggest individual awards.”

He said, “I had a great season last year, but my focus is on the new season. The Ballon d’Or isn’t up to me — it depends on votes, the media, and things I can’t control. It would be amazing to win, but it’s still a few months away, so it’s not at the front of my mind right now.”

Bayern will kick off their Bundesliga season against Stuttgart on August 28.
