Erling Haaland cuts his famous hair before Man City’s first Premier League game against Bournemouth.

Haaland’s long hair is gone! Just before Manchester City’s Premier League game against Bournemouth, the Norwegian striker shared a video of his new haircut on social media.
On Sunday morning, Haaland showed off his fresh look to fans, sharing pictures of the big change. At 26 years old, he first posted with the fun caption “Short hair don’t care,” then followed up with a video and the words, “New season, new trim.”
His former Borussia Dortmund teammate, Jude Bellingham, was surprised and wrote, “No way.” Many fans were too—one said, “I wasn’t expecting that,” while another joked, “Those without Haaland in their FPL teams made a huge mistake. New haircut bounce is coming.” Someone else added, “And that’s how Samson lost his powers.”
Before the World Cup, Haaland was asked if he’d consider shaving his head, but he laughed it off, sharing advice from Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “Zlatan told me – never cut your hair because the strength is in the hair.”
Meanwhile, new Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has a big decision to make about who will be captain after Bernardo Silva left. Under Pep Guardiola, the captain was sometimes chosen by players, but last season Guardiola picked Silva himself. Now, Ruben Dias, Haaland, and Rodri make up the leadership group.
Maresca explained a funny problem if Haaland were captain. “At Leicester and Chelsea, I had a rule: when we score, the captain has to come to the bench for instructions,” he said (via Sam Lee from The Athletic). “But if the captain scores, he can celebrate. If Erling is captain, man, we have a problem. Imagine that! If you saw Wednesday’s game, Ruben Dias came over to the bench. Even if it’s just for a few minutes, there’s always something to adjust.”
