After two months without a club, Dani Carvajal is set for an unexpected comeback with a surprise Premier League team.

Former Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has been offered to three Premier League clubs, including a surprise chance to reunite with Alvaro Arbeloa at struggling Fulham.

Carvajal has been without a team since his Real Madrid contract ended in June, as the club chose not to renew it. He’s still a free agent after the transfer window closed, so he can join a new team anytime between now and January.

According to TEAMtalk, Carvajal’s agents have been trying to find him a new club and have approached Liverpool and Manchester City.

Carvajal has never played in the Premier League. He spent 13 years at Real Madrid, coming through their youth system and having a second stint there, plus one season at Bayer Leverkusen in 2012-2013.

Now, he might get a shot in England since he’s been offered to three Premier League teams.

However, he can’t sign for Liverpool right now because they don’t have room for more non-homegrown players on their squad list.

Manchester City still have some space, especially after signing midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, which helped balance their squad.

Fulham, though, are said to be interested in signing Carvajal. He’s also got offers from MLS, the Saudi Pro League, and other parts of Europe.

Joining Fulham could bring some challenges since Arbeloa, who is now their coach, used to prefer Trent Alexander-Arnold over Carvajal at right-back during his Real Madrid days.

Arbeloa wasn’t happy when a comment he made about the competition between Alexander-Arnold and Carvajal got a lot of attention. He said he chooses what’s best for the team and stressed he has no personal issues with Carvajal.

“It was a short, serious answer to an out-of-place question,” Arbeloa explained. “You can ask my players how I speak about Dani Carvajal — he’s been a key player and an important academy product. I’ve always had a great relationship with him.”

Since becoming Fulham’s head coach this summer, Arbeloa has lost his first three Premier League games, including a 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

After the loss, Fulham winger Kevin shared a mysterious message on social media, and midfielder Emile Smith Rowe even cleaned out his Instagram page.
