F1 fans are amazed by Arvid Lindblad’s driving theory test score now that he’s finally passed!
Arvid Lindblad has finally passed his driving theory test as he works toward getting his full UK driving licence.
The 19-year-old is already racing in Formula 1 with Racing Bulls, even though he isn’t yet legally allowed to drive on UK roads.
He shared his theory test certificate on social media, but fans quickly noticed he didn’t exactly ace it. He missed four questions in the multiple-choice part and scored 52 out of 75 in the hazard perception section—not the best for an F1 driver!
Lindblad’s rookie F1 season with Racing Bulls has been impressive, scoring points for the 10th time this season at the Spanish Grand Prix. On Monday, he posted a photo of his pass certificate with the simple caption: “Easy dub.” However, some fans weren’t so sure about that.
While his hazard perception score was above the 44-point passing mark, fans were surprised an F1 driver scored that low when it comes to spotting hazards. One joked that maybe his fast reflexes let him handle hazards others might struggle with, saying, “Only 52 out of 75 on hazard perception lol — maybe with F1 driver reflexes, he doesn’t see some things as hazards because he can keep control.”
Another fan teased, “No yellow flags, that can’t have been an issue.”
Some supporters defended Arvid, suggesting his quick reactions might have actually hurt his score. One explained, “He probably clicked too fast. If you click just a tiny bit too soon, you get zero points instead of five; the system can be tricky.”
Over the weekend at the Spanish Grand Prix, Lindblad crashed during FP2 at Turn 13, which limited his running in FP3. Despite that, he qualified 10th and finished ninth on race day, earning two more points.
He spoke calmly about the crash, saying, “If I hadn’t crashed yesterday, qualifying would have gone differently, and I’d be happier. But it is what it is — something to learn from. I won’t beat myself up over it because crashes happen. I’ve been pushing hard this year and been really fast. It’s my 10th Q3 this season, so I’m allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.”
Arvid’s focus remains on improving, both on the track and as he continues his journey to becoming a fully licensed driver.
