FPL managers are quickly trying to get two players from the same team before the perfect Gameweek 5 fixtures.
Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are making the most of some great Gameweek 5 matchups by bringing in two key players.
In Gameweek 4, some of the less popular budget picks really paid off for the brave managers who picked them. Hull City’s Mohamed Belloumi (£5.1m), owned by just 3.3% of players, scored twice and earned 13 points in a tough 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Only five other Premier League players scored more than Belloumi that week, showing that choosing players based only on easy fixtures isn’t always the best move—many would have benched the 24-year-old against Xabi Alonso’s strong Chelsea team.
While Belloumi’s big score came in a hard match, most managers wait to bring players in when they have a run of easier games ahead. This weekend is a good example: Nottingham Forest are playing at home against a struggling Coventry City team, who have lost all four of their opening Premier League games and haven’t scored a goal yet.
Many managers see Forest’s upcoming games as a chance to pick up two players in particular—defender Daniel Munoz (£5.4m) and midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.9m)—both of whom are getting lots of transfers in.
Munoz played his first start for Forest since joining from Crystal Palace in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. He impressed at right wing-back and linked up well with Gibbs-White.
Known as one of the Premier League’s best wing-backs, Munoz has already been brought in by over 75,000 FPL managers for Gameweek 5 and is seen as a strong attacking option for the coming matches. Forest have games against Coventry, Crystal Palace, and Ipswich Town soon, with only one tough game at Arsenal during this run when he might be rested.
Gibbs-White is also viewed as a smart pick right now. He has scored 26 points so far this season with a goal and two assists since Gameweek 1. Considered one of the best attacking midfielders in 2026, he’s still owned by just 12.4% of managers but is rapidly gaining popularity, with over 305,000 transfers in this week alone—only behind Brighton’s Pascal Gross and Chelsea’s Morgan Rogers.
Gibbs-White has become Forest’s key player since last season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. He plays every minute, takes set pieces and penalties, and often assists, making him a very attractive choice.
If you’re looking to strengthen your midfield, Gibbs-White’s popularity is well deserved, and Munoz could be a bargain at £5.4m if he keeps up his strong form at home.
At Crystal Palace, Munoz had 17 goal involvements over two seasons under coach Glasner, and early signs suggest he could do even better at Forest. He shone in the win against Villa, and football expert Jamie Carragher even called him “the best right wing-back we’ve seen in the Premier League” during Monday Night Football.
Carragher praised Munoz’s work rate, passing, and overall impact, saying teams with three or five at the back need a special wing-back like him—comparing him to top players like Antonio Conte’s specialists at Chelsea.
If Munoz continues to provide attacking returns for Forest, he could be a great alternative to the defenders many FPL managers rely on, offering both strong potential and good value.
