The decision on Gabriel Jesus was made in just 37 minutes for Barcelona.

Spanish media and Barcelona fans are already excited about Gabriel Jesus after his summer move from Arsenal.

Jesus joined Barcelona for around £8.6 million, and he quickly started making a mark at Camp Nou. Although he didn’t score in his La Liga debut on September 6 when Barcelona beat Valencia 5-0, he scored his first goal for the club just three days later in a 5-1 Champions League win over Feyenoord.

On September 16, Jesus found the net again as Barcelona cruised to a 7-2 win against Racing Santander. João Cancelo scored early, followed by two goals from Raphinha. Despite Santander pulling a couple back, Barcelona kept their lead strong, with an own goal by Asier Villalibre and Raphinha completing a hat-trick. Jesus added a goal with a smooth finish before Lamine Yamal wrapped up the game.

While Raphinha got lots of praise for his dazzling play, fans also loved Jesus’ contribution. One fan said, “Gabriel Jesus looks like a great signing for Barcelona. If the team plans on going unbeaten, just let us know!” Another added, “Really happy with Jesus. He’s going to do well here, and the less physical, more technical style suits him perfectly.” A third said, “That goal from Jesus was outstanding—his movement and finish show he’s a top striker.”

Spanish media also gave him high marks. Barca Universal gave him a 7.5/10, pointing out his stunning top-corner goal assisted by Lamine Yamal. Mundo Deportivo highlighted his sharp finishing again, while Diario AS said Jesus looks like an important player for this season. They noted his great mobility, pressing, teamwork, and experience, saying he’s already sending a strong message to teammates and the coach with his impressive start.

Barcelona will next play away at Sevilla on September 19. Fans can’t wait to see more from their new star!
