JJ Gabriel advised against making a ‘foolish’ move to Real Madrid and shared the best way to leave Manchester United.
Former Manchester United academy player Danny Simpson has given JJ Gabriel a friendly warning amid rumors that the youngster wants to leave the club.
After a lot of excitement this summer, many thought Gabriel, the 15-year-old rising star, would make his senior debut in the Carabao Cup match against Brighton at Old Trafford.
Big clubs like Real Madrid have been linked with Gabriel, but Simpson advises him to think carefully before moving and shared what he believes is the best path for the young player.

Even though a move within the Premier League is possible, Gabriel’s dual nationality could let European clubs sign him before he turns 16. That’s why Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich are all watching closely.
Real Madrid seems most interested, but Simpson feels that would be a bad idea. He said, “The rumor is Real Madrid, but I think that’s silly. How can a 15 or 16-year-old break into the first team with stars like Vinicius, Mbappe, and Diomande already there?”
He also mentioned, “And is Mourinho the kind of coach to give young players a chance? I’m not so sure. He likes experience, and they change managers a lot.”
Many fans, including Simpson, now think Gabriel’s time at United might be over. Simpson suggests following the example of England star Jude Bellingham by moving to Germany could be better.
He said, “If you look at a clear path, you have to consider Jude Bellingham. He left at a similar age, and everyone respected that. His family supported him well, and if Gabriel goes to Germany, that might work.”
“But Birmingham and Man United are very different, so it’s not exactly the same. United still has a path for Gabriel, with players like Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford around, and he could become a star here.”

Since news about Gabriel wanting to leave broke, reports suggest that his father, Joe O’Cearuill, is leading the move. Simpson thinks it’s sad that outside influences are playing such a big part.
He shared, “I grew up loving United and dreamed of wearing that shirt. Making my debut was one of the best moments of my life, even now at almost 40.”
“Gabriel is just 15, and getting such a big opportunity. I don’t know all the details, but it’s clear someone else is pushing this. It’s sad because he’s just a boy, and this media attention isn’t fair.”
“From the club’s point of view, especially with recent results, it looks bad if a player wants out. But honestly, if he doesn’t want to be here, he should be allowed to leave.”
