Andros Townsend speaks out after a scary accident in Thailand where he was nearly hit but luckily wasn’t hurt.

Andros Townsend recently shared a video on Instagram to let fans know he’s “fine” after a strange accident in Thailand where he was hit by a pitch roller before his latest game. Townsend plays for PT Prachuap in Thai League 1, and while warming up for their away match against Pattani F.C., a man unexpectedly drove a pitch roller onto the field.
Townsend, 35, was hit, and his left leg went under the roller, but luckily, he avoided any serious injury. He didn’t start the match but came on late in stoppage time as his team won 3-0. After the game, he posted clips on Instagram, joking, “Just another day in Thai Football (he was fine!).” He also shared a funny video comparing his strength to Spiderman holding a bus, saying it showed what’s keeping his knee intact.
Though he hasn’t said if he was hurt, everything seems to be okay. Lately, Townsend has caught attention for his unusual diet. In 2023, he told Ben Foster he eats steamed chicken feet every night and takes daily pills made from chicken feet and other random things. During the World Cup, he mentioned eating boiled eggs after fasting and said he also eats two sardines a day and steak with bone broth for collagen.
Some fans got worried when they saw a TikTok post where it looked like he was eating raw meat during a game between Canada and Qatar. But Townsend’s message is clear: “Never let circumstances dictate your health.” He explained that even with long days, travel, and limited food options, he keeps his standards high and focuses on fueling his body the right way no matter where he is.
