Derek Chisora lashes out at Dana White, saying he’s ‘acting like a slave trader’ in a surprising rant.

Derek Chisora didn’t hold back when he spoke about Dana White at the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua press conference. He said White was “operating like a slave trader,” which shocked everyone. The press event, which was the first time these two British heavyweights faced off, happened on Wednesday in London. Dana White wasn’t there because he was busy with the UFC Contender Series.

When Turki Alalshikh mentioned Dana White’s name, the fans booed him. This comes after a back-and-forth with Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, over whether White could get involved with the fight. Joshua even told talkSPORT that he might walk away if White gets involved again. He said, “My loyalty is with Eddie, so if he wants to stop the fight, I’m right there with him.”

Meanwhile, another British heavyweight, Derek Chisora, who has fought Fury three times, criticized White’s way of promoting fighters in an interview with Fight Hub TV. He said, “Dana White’s not my cup of tea. He acts like a slave owner. Fighters want to fight on his platform, and he just tells them, ‘You’re not good enough, so go away.’ What else can a fighter do? That’s not right. I don’t like how he works; it’s too harsh.”

Eddie Hearn has been clear that Dana White isn’t involved in promoting the superfight, and he smiled when White’s name was booed. But Tyson Fury actually welcomes White’s involvement. Fury says both he and Joshua had a contract clause that said White couldn’t be part of the fight, but Fury asked for that clause to be removed since he didn’t mind White being involved. Fury called White “a good businessman and a good guy.”

In a new interview, Fury also shared why he respects Dana White so much. He said White helped him get back into the United States after having visa problems for four years. Fury was blocked from entering the US but eventually was allowed back and even went to the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. Fury told Ring Magazine that White was the one who brought his case to President Donald Trump, who quickly gave him the green light. Fury said, “Dana got it done on Donald Trump’s table, and Trump said, ‘Tyson’s a great guy, come on in!’ That’s how things get done.”
