John Fury calls his brother the ‘lowest form of human’ and opens up about why their family is having problems.

Tyson Fury’s dad, John, called his brother Peter a “cockroach” after Peter said he had given Anthony Joshua some advice. Peter trained Tyson from 2012 to 2017 and helped him become heavyweight champion when he beat Wladimir Klitschko in 2015. During that time, Peter was like a father figure to Tyson since John was in prison for four years of an 11-year sentence.

More than ten years later, John has sworn never to speak to Peter again. They’ve had fights before, especially about money and how Tyson’s career was being managed. Recently, Tyson and Joshua met face to face at a press event ahead of their big fight in Cardiff, Wales, on December 11.

On October 1, Peter said he had talked to Joshua a couple of months ago, giving him advice on his skills. He called Joshua a “really nice guy.” This upset John a lot. On the Playbook Boxing podcast, John openly criticized Peter, saying he’d never speak to him “as long as I live.”

John said, “If he’s giving advice to Joshua, that makes him the lowest kind of person. Even thinking about it shows he’s not trustworthy. If he’s having secret calls and sessions with Joshua, he’s a cockroach.” John also revealed his relationship with Tyson is damaged and they are not talking.

When someone suggested Joshua might have contacted Peter first, John said, “The only advice Joshua wants is about Tyson. There’s always some truth in rumors.” Then, looking serious, John told Joshua, “Son, don’t sell yourself out for a quick deal.”

At the press conference on September 30, Joshua explained what he talked about with Peter. He said, “Peter is willing to help me, like my trainer Davison. We didn’t talk about Tyson at all. It was more about my training and how I can improve. Peter pointed out things I could work on.”

Joshua added, “Everyone wants me to win and gives advice, but I’m the one who has to listen. I take all advice with a grain of salt. The reason I work with Ben and Peter is because they help spot where I can get better.”
