Lance Stroll’s team radio from the Bahrain Grand Prix, which wasn’t aired, really shows what his season has been like.

Lance Stroll showed his frustration during an expletive-filled moment on the Aston Martin team radio at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia last Sunday. Despite clear advice from his race engineer to back off when close to another car, Stroll chose to keep pushing full throttle.

He finished the race in 12th place, which is his best result in a season that hasn’t given him many highlights. When told to ease off through turn 12 to save battery while behind Esteban Ocon’s Haas, Stroll responded, “No, I’m pushing flat out. F*** this s***.” Some fans think this shows how tired he feels about the whole 2026 season.

This year, Stroll has faced a lot of criticism, especially since it was confirmed he’ll stay with Aston Martin next year despite poor results. His father, Laurence, owns the team, which often leads to people targeting Lance unfairly.

His frustration on the radio revealed he’s not happy just racing to stay out of trouble or at the back of the pack. The Canadian scored 33 points in 2025, finishing low in the standings, and has only made the top 10 once—in 2023. This season, a lack of competitiveness has led to many tough races for him.

It’s no surprise that both Lance and the team have faced criticism. After 16 races in 2026, he’s failed to finish 11 times and retired from 10 races—more than drivers like Valtteri Bottas. Lance, Bottas, and Sergio Perez are the only drivers so far this year without any points. Even Yuki Tsunoda, with fewer races, is ahead in the rankings.

The upcoming Singapore Grand Prix is another chance for Stroll to improve on his best finish and to complete back-to-back races for only the second time this year. His last two races saw him finish 17th in Miami and 15th in Montreal, but after a good result at the Hungarian GP, he had a tough streak of four retirements before finishing just outside the points in Sepang.

With this in mind, fans will be watching closely to see if Stroll can turn things around soon.
