Here’s how Chelsea fans can still catch Champions League games at Stamford Bridge this season!
Chelsea had a tough 2025/26 season and missed out on Champions League qualification, but Blues fans can still enjoy some European action at Stamford Bridge—and there’s a great deal to take advantage of.
Even though last season was disappointing, Chelsea supporters will get to experience the Champions League atmosphere with Shakhtar Donetsk playing their home games at Stamford Bridge. The Ukrainian side will host four matches there this season, and fans have the chance to get in with a special offer.
This Wednesday, Stamford Bridge will see AEK Athens face off against Shakhtar Donetsk—not Chelsea, but still Champions League football. Later in November, the stadium will host games against Sporting Lisbon and Fenerbahce, and then in January, the big match against Real Madrid, featuring star player Kylian Mbappe.
If Shakhtar make it to the knock-out stages, they’ll keep playing their home matches at Chelsea’s ground. Last season, Shakhtar ranked 27th out of 36 in the group stage and started this season with a 1-1 draw against PSV. Due to regional conflict, they haven’t been able to play at their home stadium, the Donbas Arena, since 2024.
Chelsea arranged this deal in August after finishing 10th in the Premier League and missing out on European football. While Blues fans won’t see their own team in the Champions League this year, they can still watch top-level matches live at Stamford Bridge with a special package.
According to a statement on Chelsea’s website: “After a tough season, Chelsea is happy to help FC Shakhtar play their Champions League matches here in London. We look forward to welcoming them and working together to make the matchdays safe and smooth for everyone.”
Shakhtar added: “Playing at Stamford Bridge is a fantastic chance for us. It’s one of football’s most famous stadiums with an amazing history and atmosphere. We believe our matches in London will be unforgettable for both Ukrainian and English fans.”
Fans who want to join in on these “unforgettable emotions” can buy a deal for all four Stamford Bridge matches for £185. The offer is open to Chelsea season ticket holders and members, giving a great chance to enjoy some Champions League football this season.
So, even though Chelsea won’t be in the competition, there’s still plenty of European excitement to enjoy at their home ground!
