Earlier this month, some people said that having Amazon’s documentary cameras in the Manchester United dressing room was making players “hold their tongues” and stop talking freely. On October 17, The Sun reported that the cameras were making players quiet during and after games, which might be affecting how they play. “The players see the cameras as a hassle,” a source said.

But things might be changing. Manchester United insider Sully, who has over 86,000 followers on social media, shared some news after Wednesday’s Champions League game against Como.

He wrote on X that “Michael Carrick and Matheus Cunha had a heated argument at half-time against Como.” Carrick wasn’t happy with how Cunha played, and they exchanged some strong words. Cunha was also “furious” about being taken off the field at half-time. After United lost 4-1, the mood was tense at full time too.

That tough trip to Como is probably going to be a big moment in the Amazon documentary, adding to what has already been a rollercoaster start to the 2026-27 season. The team had a rough start with a loss to newly-promoted Hull City in their first Premier League game.

They did get some good results against Ipswich Town, Everton, and Sabah, but fans at Old Trafford were unhappy after Erling Haaland’s controversial goal helped 10-man Manchester City win the derby.

Soon after, exciting young player JJ Gabriel told the club he wants to leave because he’s not getting enough time playing in the first team. Things didn’t get better. United lost a two-goal lead in the Carabao Cup against Brighton, leading to loud boos from the fans. Two draws against Fulham and Tottenham didn’t lift spirits, and after a good start in the Champions League, a poor game in Madrid made things worse.

Lisandro Martinez spoke out against club director Jason Wilcox and the summer signings in a surprising post-game interview after the Atletico Madrid match, which is sure to be a highlight in the documentary.

United’s winless streak hit six games after a 1-1 draw with Leeds. Carrick said the result “felt like a fresh start,” but a few days later, the heavy 4-1 loss to Como happened, and negativity spread fast.

Bruno Fernandes even seemed to question Carrick’s tactics when asked if he believed the team could work together to fix their problems during a game. Fernandes explained how the team’s strategy sometimes lets opponents get the ball too easily, which makes it harder to win it back and tires the players out.

Carrick disagreed with Fernandes’ comments but will stay in charge for the next game against Bournemouth. Still, rumors about possible replacements have been growing lately.

What will happen next? One thing’s for sure: this documentary could turn out to be one of the most exciting ever.
