LeBron James’ suspected stalker shocked police by claiming, “I’m his son,” while hanging around outside his LA home.
LeBron James had a scary moment when a man was found hanging around his LA home, claiming he was the NBA star’s son. The man was later arrested for stalking after being spotted near James’ house, where he lived during his Lakers days.
Security at LeBron’s place called the police around 9 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived, the man told them he believed he was James’ son. TMZ reported that the suspect was caught on security cameras outside the house, which led to his arrest.
LeBron wasn’t home at the time, and the man didn’t get inside. It’s not clear if LeBron’s wife, Savannah, or other family members were there when police showed up.
According to KTLA, police confirmed the suspect was arrested for felony stalking. Officers responded to a possible break-in report at LeBron’s LA property around 9:40 p.m. on November 6.
That same night, LeBron was back in Cleveland, playing for the Philadelphia 76ers in a tough 119-95 loss. He scored just eight points while his teammate Donovan Mitchell shined with 23 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Cavaliers are now even at 4-4 this season.
The 76ers lead the Eastern Conference with an 8-2 record, followed closely by the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons. LeBron is doing well too, leading his team in assists with about 7 per game and grabbing 7.4 rebounds, second only to Joel Embiid.
