LeBron James’ agent stands up for the star, calling him the GOAT despite challenges

LeBron James’ agent is standing up for the basketball star as the Los Angeles Lakers face a tough moment in tonight’s NBA playoffs.
LeBron’s legacy and his claim as the greatest of all time (GOAT) are on the line as the Lakers try to avoid a historic collapse. They’re playing the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of their first-round series. The Lakers had a 3-0 lead but lost the last two games, putting them at risk of losing the series.
Right now, the Lakers lead 3-2, but tonight’s game is in Houston, and LeBron’s legacy could take a hit. No NBA team has ever lost a series after leading 3-0, and at 41 years old, LeBron could be part of the first team to make that mistake.
Rich Paul, LeBron’s agent and longtime friend, talked about what losing the series would mean for LeBron’s legacy. On the Game Over podcast with Max Kellerman, Paul said LeBron’s legacy is “etched in stone” and shouldn’t even be questioned. He also called out former players who criticize LeBron but haven’t played at his level.
Paul said, “If you weren’t better than the player you’re talking about, you shouldn’t be able to talk about him. That would get rid of 99.9% of the ex-players who talk about him.”
The Houston Rockets are just two wins away from making history. Out of 159 playoff series where a team led 3-0, none has ever come back to win.
NBA expert Stephen A. Smith warned fans not to ignore how much a loss like this could hurt LeBron’s legacy. He said, “At 41 years old in his 23rd season, LeBron has been playing great. But he looked flat last game… If you think this won’t be held against his legacy, you’re in denial.”
LeBron is averaging 22 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in these playoffs so far. The Rockets’ star player, Kevin Durant, won’t be playing tonight—he missed several recent games. The Lakers will need to win tonight to avoid a Game 7 and stop the Rockets from making a comeback or getting their top scorer back.
