Kylian Mbappe’s time at Real Madrid might be coming to an end, and a top Premier League club could be his next home.
He’s been feeling left out by teammates and fans, with some even starting an online petition asking for him to leave. It seems like Mbappe is thinking about moving on.
Real Madrid is going through a tough time, and it’ll take a lot of hard work from Jose Mourinho, who just returned as coach, to fix things. Mourinho wants to make big changes this summer, including letting some big-name players go to bring the team back together.
While Mourinho hasn’t openly talked about it, Mbappe is one player who might be ready to leave the Bernabeu. And plans for his next move are already in the works.
Mbappe recently had a clash on the field with Jude Bellingham after a game against Real Oviedo, highlighting ongoing tensions within the squad. Bellingham even shared pictures on social media showing the team without Mbappe. Mbappe has also had disagreements with Alvaro Arbeloa, and many reports say he wants out.
Still young and at his best, Mbappe has only a few possible places to go. Bayern Munich is one, but with a strong team including Harry Kane, it might not be the best fit. Returning to PSG seems unlikely now that Luis Enrique has renewed his contract. Italy could be an option, but it might feel like a step down for someone aiming to win the Ballon d’Or.
That leaves the Premier League as the most likely new home for Mbappe. Only a few clubs there could afford him, and with Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United all planning big moves this summer, Chelsea is rising as a favorite to sign him.
Xabi Alonso, who publicly supported Mbappe while at Real Madrid, reportedly wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge. Mbappe scored 30 goals in 28 games under Alonso’s coaching, but his scoring has dipped since Arbeloa took over. Back in January, Mbappe praised Alonso, calling him a fantastic coach and a great manager in the making.
Chelsea has had a bit of a tough time finding a top striker over the years, with only Didier Drogba and Diego Costa standing out to fans. Mbappe would fit right in and have plenty of help from teammates like Joao Pedro, Palmer, and other fast wingers.
With Xabi Alonso in charge, this could be a perfect match — and a deal Todd Boehly might not want to miss.
