Andy Murray’s return date is set as Jack Draper announces his comeback.

Jack Draper has just announced the first tournament he’ll play with Andy Murray as his coach. Murray, a three-time Grand Slam winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist, retired after the Paris Olympics in August 2024. After some time away, he came back to coaching, first helping Novak Djokovic reach the Australian Open semi-finals before they parted ways.

Murray was then linked to coaching Emma Raducanu but decided last month to team up with fellow British player Draper. Draper, 24, has had a tough time recently with injuries. After a strong start in 2025—winning Indian Wells and reaching the Madrid Open final—he hit a career-high ranking of No. 4 but then had to take a six-month break due to an arm injury. When he returned, he played only eight matches before a knee injury at the Barcelona Open in April sidelined him again.

During this time, Draper made a surprise change, parting ways with his coach Jamie Delgado and bringing in Murray for the grass-court season. Draper thanked Delgado for his support and said he’ll keep working with the LTA team while also having Murray by his side.

Fans have been eager to see Draper and Murray in action together, and now it’s official: they’ll debut as a team at the 2026 BOSS Open in Stuttgart starting June 8th. Draper won his first ATP title there in 2024, which is also his only grass-court win so far. It’s the perfect way for him to return before an exciting summer leading to Wimbledon, where both Draper and Murray hope to make a big impact.
