Rio Ngumoha’s Bayern transfer falling through might cause big problems for Man Utd and Arsenal target in a tough situation.

Rio Ngumoha’s future is not just important for his current team, Liverpool, but could also have an impact on Arsenal and Manchester United’s plans this summer.

On Friday (June 5), news came out linking Ngumoha to a surprising move to Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champions. Bayern want to strengthen their left wing, even though their top winger, Luis Diaz, did great and helped the team win two trophies in his first season.

David Ornstein from The Athletic said Bayern sees the 17-year-old Liverpool star as their main target, but Liverpool has made it clear they don’t want to sell him.

Ngumoha, who is signed with Liverpool until 2028, learned about Bayern’s interest while supporting Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup team in Florida. Last season, Ngumoha played 31 games for Liverpool, scoring two goals and giving one assist. His exciting play gave fans something to enjoy during a tough season under the former coach Arne Slot.

Later, German journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that talks between Bayern and Ngumoha have “collapsed,” even after a “verbal agreement,” because Liverpool stayed firm and didn’t want to sell him. Plettenberg said on X that there were calls and meetings involving Vincent Kompany and Ngumoha.

After missing out on Anthony Gordon, who joined Barcelona, Bayern is now looking at other players like Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven.

Brown is seen as one of the most talented left-backs by Germany’s coach Julian Nagelsmann. Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in him. Brown is worth around £50-60 million and is great both in attack and defence. Last season, he made the most successful tackles in Germany’s top league with 81. He has scored 7 goals and made 13 assists in 75 games for Frankfurt, and he is signed with them until 2030. Brown was picked for Germany’s World Cup team and is expected to play, having already played four times for the national team.

Manchester United see Brown as a backup option to Lewis Hall from Newcastle United, while Barcelona is also interested in Alejandro Balde.

When asked about his future, Brown said he is focusing on the World Cup right now. “Of course I read about the rumors, but my focus is on the World Cup. I’ll see what happens after that. Right now, I’m feeling great in the city, I have friends here, and I’m really enjoying it.”
