Arsenal gets ready to make a surprise offer as a Premier League star is called their dream signing

Arsenal might have a busy summer transfer window as they aim to build on their Premier League win by bringing in top players to boost their squad. Now, they’ve been linked to a surprising name.
Mikel Arteta’s team won their first English top-flight title in 22 years in 2026, but they just missed out on an amazing double after losing to PSG in the Champions League final. Former Arsenal star Martin Keown recently said the club needs to strengthen their attack with players who can score regularly.
Because of this, Arsenal has been linked to several forwards ahead of the transfer window opening on June 15. The latest name is winger Christos Tzolis, who has scored 43 goals over the last two seasons for his club.
According to David Ornstein from The Athletic, Arsenal is planning to sign the 24-year-old left winger from Club Brugge for around £34.5 million. Tzolis has done well in recent years, scoring 43 goals for Club Brugge and 23 goals for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the 2023-24 season. He also has some Premier League experience, having played 14 times for Norwich City.
Tzolis isn’t the only left-winger Arsenal is interested in. They also asked about Kenan Yildiz, a 21-year-old Turkey international from Juventus. However, Juventus made it clear that Yildiz won’t be leaving this summer.
Earlier this summer, it was reported that Arteta has been personally involved in talks to bring Morgan Rogers to Arsenal. The Aston Villa star has had a great season, helping his team win the Europa League, and is now focused on the World Cup with England.
Ornstein says the move for Tzolis won’t stop Arsenal from trying to sign Rogers too. The 23-year-old is also being chased by Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City, so Arsenal might face tough competition. A fee of around £100 million could be needed.
While Rogers is concentrating on his summer with England, his team is working behind the scenes to get the best deal for his future, whether that’s at Villa or elsewhere. According to the BBC, Rogers is open to joining Arsenal this summer.
