Gianni Infantino’s FIFA salary is huge, and the full pay details have just been made public!
FIFA President Gianni Infantino is often seen at the current World Cup in North America, which has got people curious about how much he earns. So, SPORTbible has looked into his impressive salary and bonuses.
Gianni Infantino, who was born in Switzerland, became FIFA President in 2016. He’s been in charge for 10 years now and has overseen three World Cups – in Russia 2018, Qatar 2022, and the upcoming USA, Mexico, and Canada 2026 tournament.
Before FIFA, Infantino worked at UEFA, the main organization for European football. He started there in 2000 and climbed the ranks quickly. By 2004, he was Director of Legal Affairs and Club Licensing, then became Deputy General Secretary in 2007, and General Secretary two years later.
While at UEFA, he helped expand the European Championships to 24 teams and helped create the UEFA Nations League. In 2016, he was elected FIFA President for three years, then re-elected in 2019 and again in 2023.
Some of Infantino’s choices, like expanding the World Cup to 48 teams and his close links with leaders such as Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, have faced criticism from fans. Still, he plans to run for re-election in 2027, even though FIFA rules usually limit presidents to three terms.
Infantino ran without any opponents in 2019 and 2023 and is known for helping smaller football associations improve financially. This support might help him win a fourth term, especially since many FIFA voting members come from Asia and Africa.
Being FIFA President comes with a lot of responsibility, which Infantino seems to welcome. He’s also well paid for the job. In 2025, his bonus went up by 33%, making his total pay package around $6 million (£4.4 million).
His base salary stayed the same at $3.3 million (£2.42 million), but his bonus increased by $695,000 (£510,000), bringing his total bonus to $2.78 million (£2.04 million). In 2023 and 2024, he had bonuses close to $2 million (£1.47 million).
It’s not clear if Infantino gets extra payments for keeping homes in Switzerland and Florida, where FIFA has offices.
