Spurs are in talks to sign two more players as their summer spending hits new heights.
Spurs are reportedly close to signing two more players, which would push their summer spending past £250 million. Roberto De Zerbi’s team has already made five permanent signings this transfer window after finishing 17th in the Premier League last season.
Midfielder Mateus Fernandes joined from West Ham for a club-record £85 million, while centre-back Jan-Paul van Hecke came in from Brighton for £52 million. Experienced Premier League players Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, and Martin Dubravka also joined on free transfers.
Spurs have also agreed a £92.5 million initial fee with Newcastle to sign midfielder Sandro Tonali, with add-ons possibly raising the total to £100 million.
But De Zerbi and Spurs aren’t stopping there. They’re aiming to avoid another tough season by looking at Serie A, with Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb reporting a planned bid for Atalanta’s right wing-back Raoul Bellanova.
Spurs already have Pedro Porro and Djed Spence, who can also cover left-back if needed. Several Premier League clubs are interested in Bellanova, who came through AC Milan’s academy, with a price tag of €15 to €20 million (£13 to £17 million) being mentioned.
It seems likely Bellanova will leave Atalanta this summer, even though the club recently sold another right wing-back, Marco Pelestra, to Chelsea for about £43 million. Atalanta bought Bellanova from Torino for around €20 million in 2024, so they’d probably want to make a profit.
Everton are also said to be interested in Bellanova as they continue searching for a new right-back to replace Seamus Coleman.
Meanwhile, TuttJuventus reports that Spurs and Bayern Munich are both keen to sign Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer. The Brazil international has made 122 appearances for Juve and scored 12 goals. Despite suffering an ACL injury in October 2024, Bremer came back to help Juve in their 2025/26 season, finishing sixth in Serie A.
Juve value Bremer at €54 million and don’t plan to let him go easily, but they might sell if their price is met. The 29-year-old is currently part of Brazil’s World Cup squad but hasn’t played in the tournament so far under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
