Is there anything more fun than finding a cheap wonderkid in Football Manager and watching him turn into one of the best players in the game? It’s hard to beat, right?
Looking back at older versions, players like Thiago Almada, Pablo Piatti, and Henri Saivet—who helped my Carlisle United win back-to-back Champions Leagues—really stand out as amazing signings.

So, what about the newest Football Manager 27? If you haven’t heard, FM27 is currently free to play on PC and Mac in an early-access preview.

Fans have from October 29 to November 3 to find the game’s next big talents, and we’ve spent some time scouting the best players. Here are some highlights, including a goalkeeper with 91 potential and Adri Mehmeti, a central midfielder often compared to Sergio Busquets.

To start, you can sign the younger brother of PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for under €2 million (£1.6m) right from the beginning. Trust me, you’ll want him after seeing his stats.
Tornike plays for Dinamo Tbilisi in Georgia, is super fast, and made his debut at just 16. No wonder Bayern’s interested—grab him while you can.

FM Scout says Orynbasar has the highest potential (91) of any striker in the game, thanks to his great start with Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty.
This 17-year-old has scored 65 goals and made 23 assists for Kairat’s under-18 team, and is linked with a Serie A club. At about £1 million, he’s a steal.

Aristegui, 18, plays for Uruguayan club Boston River and is one of the older players on this list but has amazing stats and low cost (£18k-£170k).
He’s an inside winger with great dribbling, finishing, flair, acceleration, and determination—a total bargain.

River Plate’s academy has produced many stars, and Bruno Cabral, a highly rated striker, looks like the next big thing, though he’s pricier at £8.1 million.
The 16-year-old is rated with 83 potential and solid finishing, anticipation, and speed. Definitely someone to watch.

One of Japan’s top talents, Rui Araki, is rated the best goalkeeper potential (91) in FM27 by FM Scout.
The 19-year-old plays for Gamba Osaka and recently kept a clean sheet against Cristiano Ronaldo’s team. At just £3.2 million, he’s a smart buy.

The 18-year-old striker Ambæk, who just scored his 11th goal for Denmark’s Brondby, costs about £18 million but has huge potential.
He’s a complete forward with pace, power, composure, and finishing skills—you won’t regret spending on him.

Fragozo, 16, has already played 38 first-team games for Ecuador’s Emelec and shows great promise in FM27.
He’s an inside forward with dribbling, flair, off-the-ball movement, and work rate all at 14 or higher. His value ranges from £333,000 to £3.3 million, so act fast before others snap him up.

The first English player here is Wilkinson, who made history as Barnsley’s youngest-ever starter at 15.
Now 17 and playing for Ipswich Town, he has an 85 potential rating, matching other top young talents Ayden Heaven and Joane Gadou.

CCN calls Adri Mehmeti a “future star” of American soccer. The 17-year-old central midfielder has already debuted for the US national team and shines with the New York Red Bulls.
With great composure and passing, Mehmeti is another must-sign player.

Like River Plate, Argentinian club Velez Sarsfield has produced gems before (hello, Thiago Almada). Their 16-year-old left wing-back Simon Escobar is highly rated and admired by Argentina’s head coach, Lionel Scaloni.
He’s about £10 million, a bit expensive, but could be in your team for years.

Who’s the best talent here? It’s hard to say, but this young group shows amazing promise already.
