Man Utd is ready to include Marcus Rashford in an exciting swap deal to bring in their top midfield target!

Manchester United are ready to use Marcus Rashford as part of their plan to sign their top midfield target this summer. Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona, where he scored 14 goals and made 14 assists, helping them win La Liga once again.

Many thought Barcelona would keep him permanently after such a strong season, but instead, they signed Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi to boost their attack. This means Rashford has no choice but to return to United.

The 28-year-old is expected to join pre-season training at Carrington after helping England finish third at the World Cup. United’s manager, Michael Carrick—who used to play with Rashford—seems open to bringing him back, as Rashford would definitely strengthen the squad.

There are some concerns, though. Rashford’s high wages would make him one of the top earners, and his position clashes with Matheus Cunha, a fan favourite who joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Rashford is still one of United’s most valuable players, but Barcelona didn’t activate their £26million option, and no other club has shown serious interest at the £40million price.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, United might consider using Rashford to help land their third and final midfield signing in this rebuild. With Casemiro gone and Manuel Ugarte injured, the club needs more midfield strength. They’ve already signed Andrey Santos from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, but they still want someone who can offer Casemiro’s defensive skill and leadership.

Players linked to this role include Aurelien Tchouameni, Carlos Baleba, Sander Berge, and Tyler Adams. Roma’s Manu Kone is also an option, and talks with his team have been “positive.” Using Rashford as part of the deal to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford hasn’t been ruled out, though Rashford’s high salary could make it tricky.

Meanwhile, fans have reasons to be hopeful after a strong pre-season start. United’s 5-0 win over Rosenborg highlighted Santos’ great performance, and Mason Mount impressed even while playing in a new position.

When asked about Santos, Carrick said, “He’s settled in really well – fantastic character. He’s buzzing to be here, you can see that. We’re not expecting anything crazy special today. It’s a step. Get your eye in and get back on the pitch again. He’ll do really well for us.”
