Dana White shares big worry about Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight in fiery rant
UFC president Dana White isn’t so sure the Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury fight will actually happen later this year.
Fans all over the world have been eagerly waiting for this big match to finally settle who’s the best British heavyweight right now.
Things looked promising when Fury called out Joshua in April after his clear win over Arslanbek Makhmudov, and excitement grew with their recent fights.
Fury easily stopped Mariusz Wach in the seventh round last month, while Joshua had a tough moment but knocked out Kristian Prenga in the second round.
It seemed like November was the target for their big showdown, but there are still some bumps in the road—like where the fight will take place.
Turki Alalshikh and his Saudi supporters want the fight in the US, with Madison Square Garden in New York the top choice. But Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, says AJ might pull out if the fight isn’t held in the UK. This fight location disagreement is causing some worry.
Dana White has said the fight will happen where the money is, hinting that the US could be the spot. Now, he’s given a pretty intense rant about how long it’s taking to make a decision.
He said, “Look, this whole thing is a saga. Either they want to fight or they don’t. To make a fight, both guys have to want to fight. That’s it. Contracts and money aside, do you want to fight or not? I don’t care either way. I’d be fine if it’s in the UK or not. Just do you want to fight?”
Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, already said Fury is happy to fight at Madison Square Garden. Netflix is also pushing Joshua to agree to it.
Even though Joshua’s contract says the fight must happen in the UK, Netflix teased an announcement soon.
On WWE’s Monday Night Raw, they showed a trailer for the fight, highlighting moments like their April verbal clash when Joshua wouldn’t step into the ring to face Fury.
The video also showed their biggest wins, including Fury’s famous fights with Deontay Wilder, ending with a message: “Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua – coming soon.”
No exact details were shared yet, but it looks like they’re planning to officially announce the fight pretty soon.
