Arsenal are in talks about a surprising Real Madrid star transfer and have found a backup option in Julian Alvarez.

Arsenal have been in talks with Real Madrid about signing a promising young attacker, as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his team. Even though Arsenal have already brought in big names like Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle, Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa, and Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, plus made Piero Hincapie’s loan move permanent, Arteta seems keen to add more players before the September 1 deadline.

Arsenal kicked off their Premier League title defense with a strong 3-0 win over Coventry City at the Emirates on August 21. But tougher challenges lie ahead because the Gunners will be competing in four competitions – the Premier League, Champions League, Carabao Cup, and FA Cup. With such a busy schedule, Arteta will need all the help he can get, as the squad will be pushed hard, especially if Arsenal go far in the cup tournaments.

This summer, Arsenal tried to sign Vinicius Junior but couldn’t, as the Brazilian recently signed a new long-term deal with Real Madrid. They’ve also been linked with another La Liga star, Julian Alvarez, from Atletico Madrid.

However, on August 28, talkSPORT reported that Arsenal are now aiming to sign Real Madrid’s young talent Endrick. The North London club have reportedly already talked with Real Madrid about the 20-year-old Brazilian, who impressed many while on loan at Lyon last season.

Even though Real’s manager Jose Mourinho has said Endrick is not for sale, Arsenal are said to be ready to make an official offer before the window closes. Endrick joined Real Madrid in 2024, right on his 18th birthday, after agreeing to move there in 2022 when he was just 16.

The forward, who is under contract until 2030, has found it hard to secure a starting spot under Real’s different managers and has scored or assisted eight times in 40 appearances. Other clubs like Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Roma have also shown interest in Endrick this summer.

Earlier this week, Mourinho said he wants Endrick to stay at Real Madrid. “He’s a player I really like, and many clubs have asked about loaning or buying him,” he said. “I didn’t want to loan or sell him because he’s talented, and I want to work with him.”
