Iliman Ndiaye’s future gets surprising turn as a third Premier League team joins the race with a swap deal on the table.
A third Premier League club is said to be interested in Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, who has also been linked with Manchester City and Arsenal. Ndiaye joined Everton from Marseille in 2024 and is believed to be worth around £80 million. Everton’s manager, David Moyes, has already said he wants to keep Ndiaye at the club for at least one more season.
The 26-year-old might be a good replacement for Savio, who recently moved from Manchester City to Tottenham in a £75 million deal. Jack Grealish, who played on loan at Everton last season, could possibly move back to City, but he has also received a loan offer from Sunderland and been linked with a return to Aston Villa.
On August 26, talkSPORT reported that Arsenal is interested in Ndiaye, but Manchester City still seems the most likely to sign him if he leaves Everton this summer. Now, French journalist Santi Aouna says Tottenham has joined the race, with former Everton striker Richarlison possibly being part of a player-plus-cash deal.
He said, “Iliman Ndiaye is one of Tottenham’s options to strengthen their attack. Spurs are also still interested in Folarin Balogun. Talks between Ndiaye and Manchester City are ongoing and going well. Jack Grealish might join Everton.”
Ndiaye has also been linked with Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, but interest from the Middle East looks to be fading as the September 1 transfer deadline nears.
Despite turning down several contract offers this summer, Moyes has praised Ndiaye’s attitude, saying he helps improve the whole team.
At a press conference on August 28, Moyes spoke about the transfer rumours surrounding Ndiaye and Grealish: “I don’t comment on players at other clubs. Jack wasn’t at our club last season but did great. It’s not right for me to talk about him if he’s somewhere else. We’re not rushing to sell our best players. I haven’t heard anything from any clubs about Ndiaye. There were stories about contact with Al-Hilal but we never had any. There’s a lot of talk that isn’t always true.”
About Grealish, Moyes added, “We haven’t made any decisions yet. We are looking to bring new players in, but there’s no promises and it’s not fair to name anyone.”
Ndiaye, who is signed with Everton until 2029, has scored 17 goals and made 4 assists in 73 games for the club.
Everton will be back in Premier League action on August 29 when they face Bournemouth away.
