This year has been busy for Alex, who has won 38 of her 58 matches and moved up the rankings. She plans to stay active through the rest of the year, playing several more tournaments before the season wraps up at Indian Wells.
The WTA Finals, which feature the world’s top eight players, come at the end of the year. Although Alex is currently ranked 18th and probably won’t be there, she has some other exciting plans. Just recently, Alex played a friendly exhibition match against her good friend Iva Jovic at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. It was a lighthearted game where both players’ dads joined them on the court. In the end, American player Jovic won 6-3, but everyone had a great time.
