Jadon Sancho linked with surprising free transfer reunited with a well-known figure
Jadon Sancho might surprise everyone with his next move after leaving Manchester United and becoming a free agent. When he joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in July 2021, he was the second most expensive English player ever, and expectations were very high.
But things didn’t go as planned for Sancho or Manchester United. Over five years at the club, he made only 83 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. During that time, he also spent two and a half years on loan at other teams like Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa.
Now, after his contract with United ended, Aston Villa had the chance to sign him permanently but chose not to, leaving Sancho’s future up in the air.
However, there’s a chance Sancho could join a new club soon. The Dubai-based team Arabian Falcons are interested in signing him. The Falcons are coached by former Premier League player Jonjo Shelvey, and Danny Simpson, another ex-Premier League player, works as a player-coach there.
According to Mirror Football, the Falcons are working hard to convince Sancho to make the move. They’ve already signed former United youngster Ravel Morrison as their captain. They think Sancho might like living in Dubai, where he has spent time before while recovering from injuries. Plus, the club offers great facilities and tax-free pay, which could be very attractive even if it seems like a step down in his career.
If Sancho joins, he’d be the biggest name and likely the highest-paid player on the team, with 23 caps for England to his name.
But the Falcons might have some competition. Clubs like Fiorentina and Roma have been linked with Sancho, though they probably won’t make formal offers because of his wage demands.
There are also rumors of a surprising move to South America. Reportedly, Sancho is close to signing a two-year contract with Brazilian club Palmeiras, with an option for a third year. If this happens, he would reunite with former United teammate Andreas Pereira, who joined Palmeiras last summer after playing for Fulham. Other former Premier League players like Felipe Anderson and Jhon Arias also play for Palmeiras.
So, Jadon Sancho’s next step could be quite unexpected!
