Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players might find a big edge by picking someone that only 1.5% of managers have right now—even though his team hasn’t won a game this season.

After the three-week international break, many FPL managers came back to see several players injured while playing for their countries. So, it’s no surprise that lots of people are using their wildcard in Gameweek 7 to try and turn things around.

One Premier League team is also eager to get back on track after going six games without a win and conceding five goals last weekend. But things might start looking up for them soon.

Bournemouth have had a tough start under new manager Marco Rose, getting just three points from six games and no wins so far. Although the results look bad, they haven’t always played poorly; they’ve let in some late goals in a few matches.

After a heavy 5-1 loss to Chelsea last Saturday, Bournemouth sit 18th and really need to start picking up points to climb the table.

They face Sunderland at home this Sunday, and even though it’s still early in the season, Bournemouth will see this as a key match to help them settle in the Premier League.

That’s where Bournemouth’s FPL players come in. A few of them are surprisingly affordable, especially considering the team finished sixth last season under Andoni Iraola.

One player to watch is Rayan, priced at £6.3 million. Last season, after joining in January, he scored five goals and made three assists in 13 games. This season, although he’s scored the same number of points in every game so far—just two—he could soon become a much better pick.

Bournemouth have only three really tough fixtures left before Gameweek 30 (based on last season’s form), which is great compared to teams like Arsenal, who have five difficult games. Some matches will still be tricky, like against Brighton and Leeds, but Rayan is finding his form again.

He scored in their 3-0 Europa League win over Sturm Graz last Thursday. Marco Rose also played him up front in the 5-1 loss to Chelsea. Plus, he scored for Brazil on international duty. Since just 1.5% of FPL players have picked him so far, he might be the perfect player to add this weekend and beyond.

After playing Sunderland at home, Bournemouth face Manchester United at Old Trafford, then they have games against Leeds (home) and Ipswich (away). Following that, they host Nottingham Forest and play away at struggling Fulham, then have home matches against Brighton and Hull as December comes around. The Brighton game is midweek, giving a chance to double up on players during a double gameweek.

Later, they travel to Arsenal in Gameweek 15, then end 2026 with matches against Coventry (home), Tottenham, and Crystal Palace (both away).
