Jake Paul’s boxing comeback date set after Anthony Joshua’s jaw injury
Jake Paul has just announced when he’ll be stepping back into the boxing ring, and it’s sooner than we expected!
Almost a year ago, Paul faced a tough loss against former two-time heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua, which made many wonder about his future in boxing.
But now, it’s official—he’s making a surprise comeback on Christmas Eve in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Paul shared the news on X, saying, “I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and facing opponents nobody thought I would. Nothing has shaken my confidence or my goals. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start a new chapter. Dubai is a city that dreams big and breaks limits—that’s exactly where I want my comeback.”
Right now, we don’t know who Paul’s opponent will be, but several names are being considered. “We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract,” Paul said. “Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and someone’s getting knocked out.”
This fight will be his 15th pro bout. He’s already faced big names like Mike Tyson, Nate Diaz, and Tommy Fury. Paul’s record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses—losing only to Joshua and Fury by TKO and decision.
Though the opponent is still unknown, former UFC star Darren Till is a strong possibility. Nakisa Bidarian, who co-founded Most Valuable Promotions with Paul, confirmed talks are underway. Till, 33, started boxing last year and recently fought in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, winning his last match by unanimous decision against Yoel Romero in September.
