Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are gearing up to face each other in the ring in late 2026, and the winner will get a brand-new championship belt. Fans have been waiting for more than ten years to see these two top British fighters go head-to-head to find out who’s the best in the country.
Last month, while Fury easily beat Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Turki Alalshikh tried to bring Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn into the ring to announce the big fight. But they stayed outside, while Fury made it clear he wants Joshua as his next opponent. It looks like this big match will happen in November.
Right now, neither Joshua nor Fury holds a title, and many thought this fight would just be a big showdown between two great boxers without a belt on the line. But things have changed! According to The Ring, a special custom-made belt will be created for this fight called the ‘Fight of Britain’ belt. It’s said to be 100% gold and nicknamed ‘A GOLDEN BELT FOR A ROYAL BATTLE.’
Before the big fight, Joshua will have a warm-up match to get back into top shape. His last fight was in December, when he knocked out Jake Paul. After that, Joshua took some time off after a serious car accident that sadly took the lives of two close friends. So it makes sense that he’ll fight Kristian Prenga in Riyadh on July 25 to get ready for the huge clash with Fury.
