Man Utd fans want the often-unused player to start every week after an amazing comeback against Roma.

Manchester United fans have been buzzing about one player who definitely deserves a bigger role after their amazing win over Roma.

United finally ended their tough run without a win by coming back from 2-0 down to beat Roma 3-2, thanks to an incredible second half at Old Trafford. Captain Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty, and Matheus Cunha netted two stunning goals to secure the victory. However, the praise on social media isn’t just for them.

In a wild 30 minutes, Fernandes missed a penalty but got a second chance and scored, then Cunha scored twice before getting a second yellow card, meaning he’ll miss the next Champions League game.

But it’s another player who’s got fans talking — Shea Lacey.
One fan on X said, “Shea Lacey is a huge talent, completely changed the game’s intensity.” Another added, “Hope Michael Carrick saw that great cameo from Shea Lacey. He should’ve started.”

Others agreed: “Shea Lacey must start more. He’s got talent and isn’t afraid to take risks in attack. Plus, he loves the club, unlike some players.” One even joked, “Lacey has to be first-choice right wing. Shea ‘bad boy’ Lacey is the best Scouser in the Premier League since Rooney.”

This coming Sunday, United face Aston Villa in the Premier League — their last match before the international break — which could be crucial for head coach Michael Carrick’s future.

After United’s last Champions League game, Fernandes made headlines by criticizing Carrick in a surprising interview. But now, just weeks later, the captain has shown strong support for his coach in a very different post-match message.

When asked if they had saved Carrick’s job, Fernandes said, “We don’t need to save anyone’s job. The club and players needed this win badly. We’ve all been working hard together to get through this.”

He also cleared up rumors about a secret meeting with Carrick after being benched for the Bournemouth loss. “There’s been a lot of media talk and lies about me and the manager clearing the air. That never happened,” Fernandes explained.

“The manager decided to bench me because I wasn’t playing well, and that’s fair. Some thought it was a punishment for my comments, and if it was, then so be it.”

He finished by saying, “I respect the manager’s decisions. It doesn’t change how much I believe in him, the staff, or my teammates. And it definitely doesn’t change my goal to win every single game ahead.”
