“Clout chaser” – Eddie Hearn fires back at Dana White after he says he’s the one promoting Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

Eddie Hearn has stepped up his rivalry with Dana White, calling him a “clout chaser” after the UFC boss said he’ll be involved in the big Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight.
Hearn and White have been trading words for a while now. White got into boxing by teaming up with Zuffa and signed Hearn’s fighter Conor Benn on a long-term deal. In return, Hearn signed UFC heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall to his new Matchroom Talent Agency.
Their rivalry has been so heated that people have even joked about them settling it with a fight in the boxing ring. Zuffa is set to make its UK debut at Hearn’s home turf with a show in Bournemouth on June 6.
White stirred things up even more by saying he’ll promote the Fury vs Joshua fight happening in 2026. The all-British matchup was officially confirmed last month by Turki Alalshikh, and Hearn also confirmed it after Joshua’s tune-up fight in Saudi Arabia on July 25.
Joshua is coming back to the ring after surviving a car crash that tragically killed two close friends. He has signed a two-fight deal with Alalshikh, who is the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.
Talking with Nina Drama on a KICK livestream, White said, “This is the busiest year of my career. I’m traveling all over. I’m fully focused on Zuffa Boxing this year—signing fighters and putting on great fights. We’ve got a deal with Sky in the UK, so there will be some awesome fights on there. And yes, I’m promoting the Tyson Fury – AJ fight too.”
Hearn, who has promoted Joshua since he turned pro after winning Olympic gold in 2012, says Zuffa actually made Joshua an offer and even sent him a screenshot. But while Alalshikh is promoting Fury vs Joshua, Hearn insists White won’t be involved.
On Instagram, Hearn wrote, “Such a clout chaser 😂 not a chance 😂 and contractually impossible. Let me know when you find your balls.” He also shared an article where TKO chief Mark Shapiro said they were promoting Fury’s comeback fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hinting White’s claim isn’t true. Hearn added, “Oh yeah, they said they were promoting this one too. What happened?”
The fight’s location hasn’t been announced yet, but the winner will get a special ‘Fight of Britain’ belt, as Ring Magazine revealed.
