Adrien Broner had a pretty awkward moment when he went on a strange rant about women after someone refused to kiss him.
Former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner was recently caught on camera having a little meltdown after a “beautiful woman” turned down his offer for a kiss.
Broner hasn’t been far from trouble over the years, dealing with serious issues like homophobic threats, racist comments, assault, and sexual battery charges. Now 36, he was released on bail in 2018 following a sexual battery charge. The next year, he was ordered to pay damages for sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub.
Earlier this year, Broner was removed from a podcast hosted by Cam’ron because he kept making inappropriate remarks to co-host Treasure Wilson. Reports say alcohol and money problems have often played a role in Broner’s ongoing problems.
Recently, a video appeared on r/Boxing showing Broner having an awkward outburst after he asked a woman to kiss him during a photoshoot and she immediately said no.
“Let’s kiss for the chat,” Broner said, but she clearly refused. His response was to call her “crazy” and then go on a strange rant about how he doesn’t care about rejection:
“She’s gonna be a b****, I’ll leave though. I don’t play with women. I don’t care how beautiful a woman is, none of that. I make my own millions. Nobody does a thing for me. I’m rich already. I’m me.”
Despite his personal problems and the many allegations against him, Broner once showed real promise in boxing. Born in Cincinnati, he turned pro after a great amateur career and won the vacant WBO super featherweight title in his hometown in 2011.
He won the WBC lightweight title in 2012 and grabbed the WBA welterweight title in 2013, but lost it in his first defeat to Marquis Maidana. Cincinnati was also where he won the WBA super lightweight title against Khabib Allakhverdiev in 2015.
Broner’s most recent fight was a loss to Blair Cobbs in June 2024, making his pro record 35 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw.
