Liverpool player plans to tell the new manager that he wants to leave the club this summer.

According to reports from Italy, one of Liverpool’s longest-serving players is expected to meet the club’s next manager to let him know he feels his time at the club is over. After parting ways with Arne Slot, Liverpool will soon begin official talks with Andoni Iraola.
Iraola, who helped Bournemouth finish sixth— their best ever spot in the Premier League—will face some tough choices if he takes the Anfield job this summer.
One big question is the future of goalkeeper Alisson Becker. Lately, there have been rumors linking him to Juventus. Last month, it looked like Liverpool planned to keep him another year. Alisson’s team even asked the club if he could leave a year before his 2027 contract ends. But after losing Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate on free transfers, Liverpool didn’t want to let him go.
Still, a new report from Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport says Alisson wants to move to Juventus. In fact, he and the club have reportedly agreed in principle on a three-year deal worth around €4 to €5 million plus bonuses. Alisson is also very interested in finishing his career in Italy.
The report says Alisson will reach out to Liverpool’s new coach—likely Iraola—to let him know he thinks his time at Liverpool has come to an end. Iraola will then decide if he wants to keep Alisson or make Giorgi Mamardashvili, who joined last summer for about €30 million, the team’s future starting goalkeeper.
Juventus is waiting for news, at least until the World Cup starts, and now Alisson’s hopes of moving look stronger.
Back in April, when asked about Alisson’s future, Slot didn’t rule out his departure. He said the club makes decisions with its long-term goals in mind, and every transfer is carefully considered. Slot added that experience is one reason to keep Alisson, but there are other factors too. Ultimately, it’s the club’s call, and Alisson still has one year on his contract.
