F1 fans upset with Kim Kardashian over what she did during Martin Brundle’s Monaco gridwalk
Kim Kardashian made her first appearance at a Formula One race in Monaco, showing support for her rumored boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, but not everyone was happy about it.
Sky Sports F1 reporter Martin Brundle was doing his usual busy grid walk, trying to catch celebrities and drivers for quick interviews just minutes before the race started.
The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most famous races, attracting top stars to Monte Carlo to see this classic track.
Brundle pushed through the crowd and finally found Kim’s group waiting for the race. He tried to get a quick chat with the social media star.
He said, “What could possibly go wrong?” and asked, “Kim, Martin Brundle, Sky F1, how are you today?” But she just gave him a blank look.
Kim gave a small wave, and Brundle added, “Usually people have a quick chat with us.”
Kim and her sister Khloe were then quickly led away, and Brundle gave up on the interview.
He joked, “Kim and Khloe aren’t talking today. Maybe later, who knows.”
Many F1 fans weren’t happy with how Kim acted, feeling she was disrespectful to Brundle and could have simply said no politely.
One fan said, “Kim Kardashian ignored Martin Brundle. At least say you don’t want to do an interview instead of being rude.”
Another said, “Ah, Kim Kardashian, so rude to Martin. What a shame.”
A third fan added, “Kim couldn’t spare 20 seconds for Martin? That’s just arrogance. He just wanted a few words about their experience.”
A fourth said, “How rude was Kim? Brundle was trying to talk to her and she looked elsewhere to decide if he was worth it. Poor form.”
Talking to Brundle on the grid is seen as a fun tradition for celebrities by many F1 fans.
Kim is one of the biggest celebrities in the world, with over 330 million followers on social media.
Neither she nor Lewis Hamilton have talked publicly about their relationship, but Mercedes driver George Russell once called her “Hamilton’s girlfriend” when she showed up at the race.
