Yan Diomande has finally made up his mind about signing with either Liverpool or PSG.
Liverpool and PSG have both been trying to sign World Cup star Yan Diomande this summer, and it looks like the Ivory Coast player has made up his mind.
Diomande has done really well so far in the World Cup, helping his team win against Ecuador before they had a close loss to Germany.
The 19-year-old caught the attention of both Liverpool and PSG before the tournament because of his great performances for RB Leipzig last season.
Now, according to Media Foot, he’s decided which club he wants to join for the next season.
It’s reported that Liverpool have won the race to sign Diomande, and he is expected to be the new player to replace Mohamed Salah.
The Ivorian player apparently agreed in principle with both clubs, but PSG didn’t want to pay the fee RB Leipzig wanted for him.
So, PSG will now look for other players this summer after missing out on Diomande.
This isn’t the first signing under Liverpool’s new coach Andoni Iraola; earlier this summer, they signed Victor Munoz by paying his release clause from Osasuna.
Bringing in these two quick wingers shows the club’s plan to add more speed and energy to their attack for next season under their Basque manager.
Liverpool fans have good reason to be excited about Diomande’s potential, especially since he scored 13 goals in 36 matches last season and became the youngest player ever to play for his country at a World Cup at just 19 years old.
