England secured their spot in the next round of the World Cup and will play Mexico after beating DR Congo. But many fans weren’t happy with how the team played and want to see some changes.

If you look at England’s player ratings, most of the team struggled, except for Harry Kane, who scored two goals and helped lead the win. This was a special moment for the Three Lions, as they ended a 60-year World Cup record that hadn’t been broken before.

Coach Thomas Tuchel has some tough choices ahead. Declan Rice seemed to be dealing with an injury at the end of the match, while John Stones made his return. Some players who didn’t perform well might need to be swapped out against Mexico.

A lot of fans had hoped Marcus Rashford would start the upcoming games instead of Anthony Gordon after the Panama game, but now many want that to change. Gordon helped set up both of Kane’s goals, and fans took to social media to share their thoughts.

One fan said, “Gordon needs to start the next game. He’s so direct and always looking to get the ball to Kane.” Another wrote, “Rashford started today, but Gordon earned his place with two assists in just 30 minutes.” Someone else added, “Kane worked really hard for those goals, but Gordon should definitely start next time. Rashford seemed too quiet today.”

Fans also want Bukayo Saka to play against Mexico, replacing Noni Madueke on the right wing. One supporter said, “Gordon and Saka should start to help Kane. And Stones is a must at center back.” Another agreed, saying, “Start Gordon and Saka. Rashford and Madueke might be better off the bench.”

Some fans even suggested new positions, like putting Rice at right back and bringing Mainoo into midfield, while starting Saka instead of Madueke.

The last big change fans want is to see John Stones at center back, possibly to cover for injuries at right back. One person said, “Mainoo, Stones, Saka, and Rogers have to start against Mexico. Anderson, Spence, Madueke, and Rashford should be on the bench. Maybe even bring in Trafford for Pickford or Henderson. We need some experienced players in defense and a calm midfielder.”

Another added, “Tuchel should start Konsa at right back and Stones or Guehi at center back vs Mexico.” And one fan was simple and clear: “We must start Stones next game.”
