Arsenal fans are sure Vinicius Jr is coming after Roc Nation’s post, as Mikel Arteta takes action.
Michael Yormark, the president of Roc Nation, has caused quite a stir among Arsenal fans with a recent social media post—just hours after sharing a strong message criticizing the media.
Vinicius Jr, who has one year left on his Real Madrid contract, has been linked to Arsenal in the last few weeks. Reports say the club wants to make him their highest-paid player ever. On August 1, The Athletic shared that Real Madrid and Vinicius’s agent had started talks about a new contract, but nothing has been agreed yet.
At the same time, the idea of playing in the Premier League seems to excite Vinicius, and personal terms with Arsenal are expected to be smooth. According to Spanish news outlet Diario AS, manager Mikel Arteta is leading the effort to sign him. Arteta has reportedly told Vinicius how much the team would value him and that he would play a key role at the club, with the team likely to be built around him if he joins.
AS also says the deal could be worth around €150 million (£130 million).
On Sunday (August 2), Vinicius Jr’s agency spoke out against what they called “fake and harmful” reports in the media. Yormark posted on Instagram: “Roc Nation Sports International and our whole team won’t stand by while false and damaging stories get published just for attention. It’s even worse when these stories target our clients without any proof. This is disruptive, hurtful, and unfair. Journalists and media outlets need to be more responsible.”
Roc Nation also represents Real Madrid’s Yan Diomande and Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli.
Even though Yormark criticized the media, he has given Arsenal fans hope that the deal might be happening. He shared a photo on Instagram showing an airport board with him boarding a flight to London Heathrow.

After that, Arsenal will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 16, before starting their Premier League season at home against Coventry on August 21.
