Ireland proudly took home the Triple Crown after their 43-21 win over Scotland in the Six Nations Championship. Coach Andy Farrell must be really happy with how the team played, especially since many fans and experts thought Scotland would win their first Triple Crown since 1990.

But thanks to standout performances from players like Jamison Gibson Park and Stuart McCloskey, Ireland came out on top and earned a record-breaking ninth Triple Crown. Now, the team has to wait until tonight to see if they’ll be named Six Nations champions, depending on the game between England and France.

Fabian Galthie’s French team knows they just need to beat England to win back-to-back Six Nations titles. On the other hand, England knows they’re in a tough spot, having struggled during the competition. They’ve lost their last three matches against Scotland, Ireland, and even Italy, so they’re eager to win to quiet the critics and ease the pressure on coach Steve Borthwick.

Ireland fans around the world might be doing something surprising—putting on England jerseys and cheering for them against France, hoping to see Caelan Doris lift the Six Nations trophy. Doris even joked about this unusual support after the win over Scotland, saying to ITV, “It’s a rare day we do that, but we will be [supporting England] later on.”

He wasn’t alone—Tommy O’Brien also told ITV he’d be rooting for England but joked that he’d stop short of singing “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.”
