Cristiano Ronaldo shares the happy news of his marriage to Georgina Rodriguez in a statement.

Cristiano Ronaldo has happily announced that he’s finally married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a private ceremony.

Back in 2016, Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid, earning just £10 an hour, when she met Ronaldo, one of the biggest sports stars in the world.
“Let’s just say it gave me butterflies,” she shared in her Netflix series, *I Am Georgina*.

Soon after, they started dating and now have five children together: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, who are nine; daughter Alana, eight; daughter Bella, four; and Cristiano Jr., 16, from Ronaldo’s previous relationship.

Over the years, people often asked Ronaldo if he’d ever marry Georgina, whom he usually called his wife even before they made it official. Now, it’s confirmed—they tied the knot in a small, private ceremony on Tuesday, with their five kids there.

Ronaldo’s representative shared: “Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez were married today in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal. It was a private and intimate event attended by their children.”

Ronaldo also posted a photo of their wedding rings on Instagram, captioning it simply: “C❤️G.”

This wedding announcement comes exactly one year after Ronaldo confirmed his engagement to Georgina on August 11, 2025, saying: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Just days before, thousands of fans gathered outside Funchal Cathedral in Portugal, thinking it was the wedding venue. But it turned out the ceremony was for another Portuguese couple and not Ronaldo and Georgina.

Piers Morgan, a big Ronaldo fan, congratulated the couple on social media, saying, “Congrats to my friends Cristiano & Georgina on their wedding today in Portugal! They’re a great couple, and I wish them a long and happy marriage. Parabéns!”

Meanwhile, internet star IShowSpeed, a bit confused by the news, joked asking for an invite and said, “Ronaldo, I’m happy for you, brother… He’s gotta do the SIU when he gets married!”
