Cristiano Ronaldo’s EA FC 27 card got “leaked,” and fans are already comparing it to Lionel Messi’s right away!
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to get a pretty different base Ultimate Team card in EA FC 27, according to the latest leaks. The Al Nassr star, who recently said this might be his last pro season, started EA FC 26 with an 85 overall rating. But now, the 41-year-old has been downgraded again to 84 overall, according to Twitter user ASY FUT.
Ronaldo’s shooting remains his strongest stat at 88, but his passing dropped from 76 to 75, and his dribbling went down from 80 to 78. His physicality also dropped by one point to 75. The biggest change is in his pace, which fell by nine points to just 67.
For comparison, his longtime rival Lionel Messi has 76 pace, even though he showed a slower top speed than Ronaldo at the 2026 World Cup. Messi actually got an upgrade of three points to an overall 89 from his EA FC 26 rating.
Back when Ultimate Team first launched in FIFA 09, Ronaldo had an 89 rating, which went up to 93 in FIFA 10. For years, he and Messi went head-to-head as the highest-rated players in the game, just like their real-life battles for the Ballon d’Or.
This year, the highest-rated players in EA FC 27 are Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, and Alexia Putellas, all sitting at 91 overall. Aitana Bonmati (down from 91 to 90) and Mohamed Salah were rated 91 in EA FC 26, but Salah’s new rating isn’t confirmed yet after his move to Trabzonspor.
The EA FC 27 ratings have been coming out bit by bit, with over 200 players announced so far from the Premier League, WSL, Bundesliga, and Frauen-Bundesliga — besides the top 27 men and women players, revealed on Monday.
Also new for EA FC 27, common player cards are gone. Now, every player card is just gold, silver, or bronze.
