Croatian model reacts after catching the attention of a Sky Sports cameraman during the Miami Grand Prix
A Sky Sports camera operator had a funny moment just before the Miami Grand Prix when a Croatian model got way more screen time than anyone expected.
Formula One is back after a break of over a month, and Sky Sports resumed their coverage with qualifying and the sprint race. But one part of their broadcast really stood out. During the sprint qualifying, Naomi Schiff, Simon Lazenby, and Jenson Button were doing a live walk-around in the paddock when a woman in a black crop top and boots walked right into the shot.
Strangely, the camera seemed to focus more on her than the presenters, following her for several seconds as she passed by. Viewers quickly took to social media, joking that the cameraman was “distracted” and “had to refocus.”
In the background, a McLaren mechanic’s priceless reaction also caught people’s attention and went viral online.
The woman was later identified as Ivana Knoll, a former Miss Croatia who has been at every Miami Grand Prix since 2022 because she lives in Miami. With 2.8 million followers on Instagram, Ivana shared lots of pictures from the paddock for her fifth Miami GP, captioning them “Since day one!” She also shared the clip of her unexpected TV moment, saying, “Getting viral all over TikTok,” with a laughing emoji.
Ivana is not just a model but also a DJ and influencer. She became famous during the 2018 World Cup when she was called the tournament’s “sexiest fan” while cheering for Croatia. Her social media following grew bigger after her bold actions at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where she even said she’d go “topless” if Croatia won the tournament.
She also pushed the limits of Qatar’s strict dress code for women by wearing revealing outfits to the games. When people criticized her, she explained that she thought the rules would be relaxed for the World Cup, but was shocked to learn players couldn’t show shoulders, knees, belly, or neck. She admitted, “OMG, I don’t even have clothes covering that all.”
Ivana even mentioned some players slid into her DMs during the World Cup. She showed up again at Euro 2024 and keeps making appearances at big sports events all over the world, including Formula One.
