England player ratings vs France: Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze shine in incredible World Cup bronze final
England beat France 6-4 in an amazing World Cup bronze final in Miami.
Coach Thomas Tuchel picked a mostly new England team in Florida, starting players like Dean Henderson, Eberechi Eze, Bukayo Saka, and Ivan Toney.
England came out strong right away, with Declan Rice scoring a powerful goal only three minutes in. Saka scored at 12 minutes but it was ruled offside. Then Konsa made it 2-0 with a header from Rice’s corner.
By 37 minutes, Rashford was free in France’s half, and after some quick shots with Saka, Saka scored again. He made it 4-0 when his teammate Eze passed perfectly for him to score again.
France played much better in the second half. Mbappe scored quickly to make it 4-1, and substitute Bradley Barcola scored too, cutting the gap. Mbappe scored again to make it 4-3.
Even though France pushed hard near the end, England increased their lead to 5-3 when Djed Spence won a penalty. Saka calmly scored from the spot, completing his hat-trick.
Dembele scored for France to bring some hope, but substitute Jude Bellingham sealed the win at 6-4.
